At Mend & Modern, LLC, we are committed to providing high-quality handyman services and ensuring client satisfaction. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued for services provided by Mend & Modern, LLC.

 

1. General Policy - Services Rendered

Due to the nature of handyman services, which are primarily labor-based and involve the time and expertise of our professionals, we generally do not offer cash refunds for services that have been fully rendered and completed to the agreed-upon scope of work.

Our primary aim in cases of client dissatisfaction related to workmanship is to rectify the issue. If you are not satisfied with the quality of our workmanship, please refer to our Workmanship Warranty outlined in our Terms and Conditions. We will make every reasonable effort to address and resolve any issues covered by our warranty by re-performing the work or providing a suitable remedy.

 

2. Refunds for Materials

  • Materials Purchased by Mend & Modern, LLC on Client's Behalf: If Mend & Modern, LLC purchased materials for your project that are ultimately not used due to a change in scope, project cancellation, or other reasons, a refund for these materials may be possible under the following conditions:

    1. The materials must be in their original, unopened, and resalable condition.

    2. The materials must be eligible for return to the original supplier/retailer.

    3. Any restocking fees charged by the supplier/retailer, or any costs incurred by Mend & Modern, LLC (e.g., travel for return), will be deducted from the refund amount.

    4. The request for a material refund must be made within [Number, e.g., 7] days of the initial purchase or project cancellation.

  • Client-Provided Materials: Mend & Modern, LLC does not offer refunds for materials provided by the client. Any issues or warranties related to client-provided materials are the sole responsibility of the client and the material supplier.

 

3. Deposits

  • Deposits are generally non-refundable, especially once work has commenced, materials have been ordered, or significant planning/scheduling has occurred.

  • A deposit may be partially or fully refundable only if the project is cancelled by Mend & Modern, LLC due to unforeseen circumstances on our end, and no work has been performed or materials purchased specifically for your project.

  • Please refer to our Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy within our Terms and Conditions for specific details regarding deposits and cancellation fees.

 

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Refunds or credits for cancellations or rescheduling are handled according to our Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy outlined in our Terms and Conditions. This policy details any applicable fees for short-notice cancellations or reschedules.

 

5. How to Request a Review or Resolution

If you have concerns about services provided, believe you are eligible for a refund, or wish to invoke our workmanship warranty, please contact us immediately.

To facilitate a prompt resolution, your request should include:

  • Your name and contact information.

  • Date of service.

  • A clear description of the issue or the reason for your refund request.

  • Any supporting documentation (e.g., photos).

We will review your request and respond within [Number] business days to discuss the issue and propose a resolution, which may include re-performing the service, offering a partial credit for future services, or processing a material refund as applicable.

 

6. Exclusions

This refund policy does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or alteration of the completed work by the client or third parties.

  • Issues arising from pre-existing conditions or hidden defects in the property not disclosed or reasonably discoverable during the service.

  • Client dissatisfaction based on changes to the scope of work not agreed upon in writing.
